2018 Warrior: Kaly Grover

Kaly is one of the strongest women you will ever meet. For only being 23 years old, she has had to overcome many hurdles in her young life. And she had done so with great class and strength. However, she was diagnosed with Classical Hodgkins Lymphoma in December 2017, putting a road block in many of her life plans and dreams. She had planned to start applying to law school this year, take trips with her friends, and spend some good quality time with her one true love, her son Louis. Her road to recovery has just started and no one knows what tomorrow brings. Yet, even through all the hard and rough doctors visits, chemo sessions, and bad news, Kaly still has a smile on her face and love for others that some of us will never beat. Because of that I know she will fight through this illness, coming out a survivor. Kaly is a perfect representative of INDY’s message. She never gives up hope and she loves with all she has. 

Kaly is a single mom of an 18 month old little boy. To help take care of him and be able to spend time with him, she took a job as a nanny caring for two young boys along with her own son. She was thinking about attending law school, but put that dream on hold to make sure her son was taken care of first. The INDY warrior program will help Kaly immensely with the struggle of never ending medical bills and finances.
