2020 Little Warrior: Isla Marrocco
Isla is a strong and beautiful warrior who lights up any room she is in. She enjoys the outdoors and adventures in the woods. She began experiencing some leg pains a few weeks ago that was thought to be “growing pains”. When her fever spiked to 103 this past week she was admitted to children’s hospital where they began to run tests and determined she has leukemia. She has a long journey ahead of her and a plan is still be built to best treat her. Her biggest fear at this time is hair loss. Isla is a true warrior who throughout her fight has continued to remind her mom, “It’ll be okay, we will get through this.”
